Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic medical-surgical team. As an RN in our medical-surgical unit, you will provide expert care to a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Your commitment to patient-centered care and your clinical expertise will be integral in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, monitor their effects, and document accordingly.
- Provide wound care, post-operative care, and other treatments as required.
- Continuously monitor and assess patients' conditions, recognizing and responding to changes.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed.
- Manage and assess pain, providing appropriate pain relief interventions.
- Support patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition to post-hospital care.
- Stay current with medical-surgical nursing practices through ongoing education and certification.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Ohio and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 3 of experience in a medical-surgical nursing role.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- BLS and ACLS certifications
